Hello my name is Mel and I am the heart and soul of Different Abilities SA. I am 38 and married with 2 beautiful boys. I have an abundance of experience and knowledge of working with children and adults who have ASD, ADHD intellectual and physical disabilities.
I am here to support and improve your life to increase mobility, connectivity, independence & empower your capabilities.
I am caring, organised, friendly, calm and a diligent caregiver focused on providing optimal support to participants through personalized support and care to assist in managing diverse medical conditions and different abilities.
I am passionate about improving wellbeing outcomes for participants, families and key support people. My services are delivered via a person-centred approach, combining positive mindset coaching, hands on daily living activities and undertaking community based activities in the community.
I am proficient in organizing medications, doctor appointments and personal activities. I am an excellent communicator with strengths in daily routine management.
I am currently studying certificate 4 in disability to lead into support co-ordination.
My interest include my family and friends my love of AFL, animals, coffee, nature, camping, LGBTQIA’s inclusive and being passionate about supporting individuals with Different Abilities..
