Counsellors

Counsellors play a crucial role in providing essential support for individuals who are facing a range of challenging issues, including disabilities, homelessness, relationship difficulties, and significant stress.
Their expertise and understanding can make a profound difference in the lives of these individuals during tough times.

Moreover, membership in a peak body not only ensures that counsellors adhere to high-quality and ethical standards, but also signifies their commitment to professional development and the continuous improvement of their skills.

This professional affiliation enhances the credibility of the support offered, ultimately benefiting those who turn to them for help.

For NDIS Purposes, a Counsellor is – A person who is either a member of the Australian Counselling Association or an accredited Registrant with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia, or a person who is an AHPRA provisionally registered psychologist operating as a paid unsupervised practitioner

As per the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits 2024-2025, page 86
