Our names are Kim & Russell, and we are the founders of SENIOR ASSISTANCE SERVICE. 

The inspiration for our business started in 2020 whilst supporting Russell’s Auntie in the UK who was isolated by Covid restrictions. We managed services and essential tasks on her behalf from Australia. We sourced local support to help with household tasks, cooking, medication, paperwork, banking, and bills. We managed her weekly online shopping deliveries, pharmacy, essential clothing, and household item deliveries via internet services. It was a blessing to support her during her final years to make life a little easier and more comfortable.

Supporting Senior clients during our final working years is both a privilege and a pleasure. We value making lives a little easier and improving wellbeing’s. We offer Personal Assistance and build trusting, reliable, and caring relationships with clients and their families. Our tailored service assists seniors to remain living independently at home and is flexible to meet changing needs on weekly, monthly or temporary  basis.

I, Russell, qualified as a Police Officer prior to studying to become a Radiographer then progressed into Senior Management Roles where I led staff to provide exceptional quality service to clients. In 1987, I moved from the UK to Australia. I have always enjoyed supporting and helping people and I love hearing people’s life stories. In 2019, I completed a Certificate 4 in Small Business with a vision of setting up a Small Business with my family.

I, Kim, moved with my family from the UK to Australia in 1975. I qualified as an Enrolled Nurse before moving to Administrative Roles, and then in 2013 moved to a Support role as a Therapy Assistant. I am a kind and caring person who enjoys doing little things for others. An excellent support person to my family and proactive at finding practical solutions. I am personable, patient, friendly, a good listener and enjoy a good laugh and a chat. In 2021, I studied Certificate 3 in Small Business and set up a Small Business with Russell and our family, creating Personalised Laser Engraved gifts which supported our daughter’s interest in design.

We closed our gift business in April 2023 as our family’s interests shifted to supporting roles. Our daughter returned to studying and we started to develop a SENIOR ASSISTANCE SERVICE which aligned with our medical backgrounds. We are dedicated to supporting seniors to age well and maintain independent living in their own homes.
