Biography (Optional)

As a person with autism, PTSD and anxiety I have an understanding of good days and bad. Of wanting to connect, but finding it overwhelming (before, during and after). I found my peace through gardening with aquaponics. Growing fish and veggies together ~ that I can do when renting, in small spaces and not having to bend over to weed.

On my bad days, I turn to this form of garden therapy. It makes me refocus, breathe and helps me to find my balance.

I believe that everyone has the right to healthy food, but in todays society that is a challenge for PWD, people in small spaces, or not allow to have a soil garden. My passion, is making this easy and simple for others to build their capacity, increase life skills and live a healthier life.

Description of who I am looking to connect with

Services that feel my Life Skills & Capacity Building Program with Aquaponics, which is online, self paced learning and skills development would be appropriate for their participants.

As someone with ASD, PTSD, and anxiety, I understand the struggle of wanting to get to an activity or learn something, but it is exhausting trying to mentally prepare and you are wiped out before you get there.

With this in mind, an online learning from someone with training and experience in welfare, but also trained in aquaculture (fish farming), who has more than 15 years experience with aquatic husbandry and aquaponics can provide a structured learning environment with easy to follow lessons to create and build food security, life skills and increase their capacity in their own space.

The program can be NDIS funded for those who are self and plan managed.
