About Our NDIS Children’s Program

Monash Health National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Program is located within Monash Health Community. The NDIS Program supports people under the age of 65, who have a permanent and significant disability, to help them in their daily life, participate in the community and reach their personal goals. This is a relatively new program within Monash Health and currently comprises support coordination, Adult Continence service and allied health assessment and intervention services for both adults and children.

The Monash Health NDIS Children’s team is co-located with Monash Health Child and Family team and physiotherapy team for clinical and professional governance, with direct operational accountability for NDIS service delivery to the NDIS Child and Family Team Leader and NDIS Program Manager. The NDIS Children’s team operate out of a number of Monash Health Community sites including Springvale, Cranbourne and Pakenham.

About You

The Physiotherapist will be required to provide an efficient, high quality and comprehensive Physiotherapy service to children aged 0- 18 years and their families. The successful applicant will function as a member of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team and will work closely with team members to promote an integrated and holistic service. These positions will require the physiotherapist to work within an outreach model of care as well as at the community health centre or in other community venues. Experience and knowledge and of working with children who have a disability is preferable, as well as knowledge of working within an Early Childhood intervention model of care.

What You Need:

  • Relevant Physiotherapy qualification
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) – Physiotherapy Board of Australia (practicing, no restrictions).
  • Current and satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Australian working rights
