Duties and Responsibilities

The role will see you working across a range of settings, no such thing as a boring day here!

Residential Aged Care

  • Providing physiotherapy assessment and treatments to residents in aged care facilities
  • Providing privately funded 1:1 rehabilitation and therapy groups tailored to individualised treatment plans and goals
  • Implement effective pain management programs to get the residents moving and active
  • Delivering high quality, research back groups, including strength and balance training, Tai Chi for Arthritis, Xbox Kinect balance retraining, etc
  • Design comprehensive falls prevention strategies

Home and Community Care

  • Performing functional and mobility assessment
  • Completing home safety assessment
  • Prescribing mobility aids and equipment
  • Development and implementation of exercise programs in the management of various musculoskeletal, neurological and cardiorespiratory conditions

NDIS

  • Designing therapy programs to help clients increase their independence
  • Delivering effective hydrotherapy and land-based exercise programs
  • Driving creativity and challenging the norm in how people with disability are perceived
  • Being a voice and advocating for their needs
  • Collaborating with allied health professionals and family members

Skills & Qualifications

  • Full AHPRA registration – New graduates welcome to apply
  • Must be based in Australia with full working rights
  • Current flu and COVID-19 vaccination
  • National Police Check
  • National NDIS Worker Screening Check (with online NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate)
  • Friendly demeanour and caring nature
  • Strong communication, time management and organisational skills
  • Willingness to learn and further physiotherapy career
  • A demonstrated commitment and passion to help others
  • Ability to think creatively, develop programs and implement effective systems
