About the Role

As the NDIS Program Lead you will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring the NDIS program where it is in place across the BVAC AU portfolio. You will be responsible for maintaining compliance with Bupa NDIS polices and process as well as the NDIS legislation. This role can be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. You will be required to partner with various teams within the business.

Duties

  • Monitor the completion of NDIS Behaviour Support Plans, including providing oversight of the incidents lodged through the NDIS Portal and the administration of state-based systems to facilitate the development of Behaviour Support Plans
  • Monitor the completion of NDIS Worker Screening Checks in the care homes where this applies
  • Provide training and education to care homes regarding NDIS compliance requirements
  • Work with the Regional Managers and General Managers of the participating homes to ensure delivery of NDIS services to NDIS participants.
  • Assist with compliance activities and supporting the business with the NDIS Certification Auditing process
  • Develop and maintaining all NDIS operating processes, tools, and information
  • Develop and maintain all communication and collateral to support NDIS participants
  • Supervise and coordinate NDIS Workers Screening Checks to ensure ongoing compliance with the NDIS legislation
  • Provide oversight of the NDIS Incident Management processes

Skills & Experience

  • Leadership behaviours, skills and capabilities to engage clinical resources across the business and wider group
  • Demonstrated industry-recognised level of expertise
  • Extensive experience in the delivery of Aged Care Quality Standards or NDIS accreditation and professional leadership
  • Residential Aged Care or NDIS experience within Australia at an operational level
  • Creative lateral thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • The capacity to manage uncertainty or ambiguity
  • Experience in successful delivery of large and complex organisational change programmes

Bupa Villages and Aged Care is a NDIS approved provider. As part of the NDIS scheme, employees working within a NDIS facility, in a risk assessed role, must have a completed NDIS check. This is part of compliance and needs to be completed prior to commencement – successful applicants will have this cost reimbursed upon commencement.

IMPORTANT: All aged care workers must be vaccinated against seasonal influenza and will be required to have both COVID vaccinations by 25 October 2021. Evidence of these vaccinations will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
