Hi there, my name is Jethro and I am an independent support worker.
I have been working in social and community services for 8yrs and have 5yrs experience in support work (both Youth work and NDIS).
I am a very positive and active person. People have found me to be warm, funny, and also empathetic. I have a really strong value system that ensures I always treat people with the utmost respect and will follow through with what I say. I am genuine and honest in everything I say and have a way of making people feel safe around me.
I love the outdoors and adventure (hikes, ultra marathons, cycling, etc) and can help people with their running and fitness goals.
I use a strengths-based approach and am passionate about empowering people.
I am studying for a master’s in counseling and psychotherapy. I have a good understanding of disability and mental health and have a strong trauma-informed lens.
I am moving out of my role as a caseworker to go back into something more client-facing as I am a people person and more relationally driven.
If you meet me, you will quickly come to see me as someone who is very authentic. I like to help people feel special and will encourage them and build them up, hopefully, to help them see how wonderful they are.
