You don’t only get to grieve when someone dies… as the shadows of conciousness come to light, you may find many wounds that require grieving – losses of power or dignity, things missing in your life that you wish you had experienced, other people’s actions (or non-actions) which caused pain, grief over the state of the planet or the suffering of animals or people… the list is virtually endless.
Yet no matter what has brought you pain, whether you percieve it as “big” or “small”, your grief is valid – and valuable! Grief is the master “negative” emotion… it contains many other emotions, such as anger, regret and sadness, and if fully allowed and felt, it is a powerful catalyst for healing.
